Accordingly, VNAT has requested BBC to set up ideas and develop communication campaigns, from which the two sides will associate to mobilize the contribution of human resources in order to achieve high efficiency in promotion work.

In recent events hosted by VNAT like ASEAN Tourism Forum, BBC’s cooperation and promotion has been hailed for success and efficiency.

The discussion and cooperation partially come from the positive effect of efforts to promote Ha Noi’s image between the Ha Noi People’s Committee and Cable of News Network (CNN), opening a new way for promoting attractions in Viet Nam.

Since the tourism promotion plan on CNN was launched in 2017, the American channel has popularized the images of Ha Noi through stories on different topics such as culture and sports.

The innovative marketing campaign on CNN between 2017 and 2018 helped Ha Noi to earn the Best Marketing Campaign Award at the 8th Tourism Promotion Organisation for Asia-Pacific Cities Forum, held in Ho Chi Minh city in June last year.

The capital greeted some 1.9 million foreign tourists in the first quarter of 2019, a 15.5% rise over a year earlier, including over 1.3 million foreigners staying overnight, a 12.6% rise.
