Ninh Binh Province coordinated with the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences to organise a scientific conference on "Research, conservation and promotion of the value of the stele system at the special national relic site of Non Nuoc Mountain", on May 3.

Speaking at the event, Tong Quang Thin, Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ninh Binh Province, said that the conference is one of the activities under the plan "Managing, preserving and promoting the values of the special national relic site of Non Nuoc Mountain, Ninh Binh City, Ninh Binh Province, 2021-2025".
At the same time, it contributes to communicating and educating about cultural heritage, promoting and spreading the value of relics and intangible cultural heritages associated with Non Nuoc Mountain relics.
This is also an opportunity for Ninh Binh Province to consult with managers, experts, and scientists to develop a nomination dossier for the epitaph system at the monument on UNESCO's documentary heritage lists.
Director of the Department of Culture and Sports, and co-head of the conference organising committee, Nguyen Manh Cuong, said that Non Nuoc Mountain, along with nearby Canh Dieu Mountain, is being proposed by Ninh Binh Province to be included in a plan to preserve and restore the special national relic site of Hoa Lu ancient capital through 2030 with a vision until 2050.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing two topics: Historical, cultural and documentary values of the stele system at the Non Nuoc Mountain; and solutions to preserve and promote the value of Non Nuoc Mountain and the system of steles at the monument.
The conference is an important event to evaluate and affirm the historical, cultural and documentary values of the stele system at the monument; contributing to research, conservation, and promotion of the cultural heritage value of the Special National Monument of Non Nuoc Mountain, and local socio-economic and cultural development.
