German famtrip visits Viet Nam

(TITC) – From 2-9 September 2017, Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) hosted a famtrip from Germany to visit Viet Nam.

In the famtrip, the German delegation explored tourism destinations in Ha Noi, Quang Ninh, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Ho Chi Minh City and Mekong Delta region (Tien Giang, Vinh Long, Can Tho). The delegation also attended the 13th International Travel Expo (ITE Ho Chi Minh City).

The German travel agencies had chance to admire and spend the night on Ha Long Bay, visited culture and historic sites such as Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Temple of Literature, Ngoc Son Temple (Ha Noi Capital), Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, Cu Chi Tunnels (Ho Chi Minh City), Hoi An Ancient Town, and visited Ben Tre coconut candy village.

Beside, they spent time discovering Cai Be floating market (Tien Giang Province) and An Binh island (Vinh Long Province).

Germany is listed among top source markets of Viet Nam tourism in Europe. Viet Nam welcomed over 176 thousand German visitor arrivals in 2016. In the first eight months of 2017, Viet Nam received over 131 thousand German visitor arrivals, a 15.9% increase over the same period last year. Germany is one of five Western European countries being exempted from entry visas upon arrival in Vietnam, in addition to the UK, France, Italy and Spain.
